I suppose the value of this book depends upon the view point of the reader.
As it is being read, one must decide for himself or herself if the material it contains is a revelation from God or is just some unexplainable, incomprehensible
coincidence.
Obviously IF the text which is being displayed is considered as originating from within the Most Holy Mystery of Divinity then one must also begin to rethink both:
1. the design and purpose of the sacred text
2. the postulates of religion itself.
The MOST IMPORTANT issue at stake in these revelations is the obvious one. God Himself is seeking the restoration of Christianity into Judaism and Judaism into Christianity. His revelations provide an indisputable context in which to base the reunification of the theologies – theologies, which never should have been disunited in the first place.
IF the origin is from God then what is being revealed (by God) is new doctrine – never before seen revelation deeply encrypted into the text of scripture. It is nothing less than a new way to read scripture and understand theology.
A. For the Christian, the scriptural text itself must be considered an entire work. Both the Old Testament (Tanach - תַּנַ"ךְ) and the New Testament (Brit Chadasha - ברית חדשה ) must be read as one book, the old testament complimenting and pointing to the new and the new testament explaining and rounding out the theological positions found in the old.
And, since this is the case, the comfortable ‘old standby’ claims of Christianity asserting the New Testament replaced the old, and the Law is of no merit needs to be rethought as well. ( I am aware not all Christians hold to the afore-mentioned claim but enough do think this way so that I’ve included it here.)
In short, the primary challenge to Christians today is in Christians being forced to answer the question, ‘what role does Jewish Observance play in the Christian Faith?’
B. For the Jew, the text unmistakably points to Yeshua, Jesus, as being He Who is the Messiah. It reveals He is both man and God ‘eternally begotten’ of the Father. It reveals much, much more also. Certainly this is a challenge to the traditional ways of Jewish thought.
God Himself is providing the bridge to the reunion of faith and if this is so then we all better get to work.
